MFL presents all-in portfolio at CastForge

Maschinenfabrik Liezen und Gießerei will be presenting a complete supplier portfolio at CastForge 2024 with the aim of being able to offer customers individual production steps with complete flexibility.

On the other hand, the aim is to alleviate customers' concerns regarding interface, logistics and supply chain problems. This is achieved with an all-inclusive package that starts with comprehensive engineering support and expert manufacturing advice.

Innovative engineering
Customer products are revised and optimised as required in order to make production even more economical and sustainable.
This process is supported by state-of-the-art engineering tools such as various 3D-CAD/CAE/CAM systems, simulations, stress calculations and 3D-printed prototype parts.

Automated welding operation with new mega robot
Automated welding operations at MFL were raised to a new level this year. With a new hall and one of the largest robot systems in Central Europe, the company is now ideally equipped to process components up to 28 metres long and weighing up to 20 tonnes.

Quality as a business card
All standard test procedures up to level 3 and well-trained test personnel ensure a consistently high level of quality and compliance with all customer specifications.

Sustainable products from sustainable production are the goal
A certified energy management system was implemented at MFL back in 2013 and numerous ecological measures have been realised since then.
For example, heat recovery systems were installed in the foundry's heat treatment furnaces, thermal refurbishments were carried out and LED lighting and optimised heating controls were installed in the production halls.
A circular economy is applied in the foundry, where new components are cast from worn steel castings that are remelted in a resource-saving manner.
