Purposes and legal basis of data processing:
Article 6(1f) GDPR: Safeguarding legitimate interests
Legitimate interests:
Collecting evidence, preventing and identifying criminal acts, safeguarding against trespass, fulfilling obligations as the operator of the exhibition centre, implementing safety and security measures in consideration of the vulnerabilities of public buildings alongside individual preventive actions planned for our events, managing visitor flows.
Duration of the processing:
The recordings are stored for a maximum period of five days.
Recipients or categories of recipients of the data:
The video system is accessible to the service provider supporting us in the operation of the video system, and, where applicable, to the event organiser of the exhibition in question, and to authorities for emergency response actions and to identify any criminal acts.
Note on the rights of the data subjects:
- The data subject has the right to request from the controller confirmation of whether personal data concerning them is being processed; if this is the case, then they have a right of access to this personal data and to the information listed in detail in Article 15 GDPR.
- The data subject has the right to request the controller rectifies without delay any incorrect personal data concerning the subject and, if applicable, to complete any incomplete personal data (Article 16 GDPR).
- The data subject has the right to request that the controller erase personal data concerning them without delay; provided that one of the reasons listed in detail in Article 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the specified purposes (right to erasure).
- The data subject has the right to request the restriction of processing from the controller, if one of the provisions specified in Article 18 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data subject has objected to the processing for the duration of the controller's verification process.
- The data subject has the right to lodge an objection to the processing of the personal data concerning them at any time on grounds relating to their particular situation. The controller will then cease processing the personal data, unless it can be demonstrated that there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing is required to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (Article 21 GDPR).
- Every data subject has the right, without prejudice to any other administrative or legal remedy, to appeal to a supervisory authority if the data subject believes the processing of personal data relating to them infringes the GDPR (Article 77 GDPR). The data subject may assert this right with a supervisory authority in the member state of their place of residence, their workplace or the place of the suspected infringement.
