Stuttgart, a centre of business and research excellence, is the perfect location for your trade fair

Stuttgart is at the heart of one of the most important and most successful business locations in Europe. Global corporations such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Bosch and IBM are just as much at home here as quality-conscious SMEs, hidden champions and start-ups. Together with the research institutes, they make up a unique industrial cluster involved in 25 fields of technology, ranging from the automotive sector to environmental technology. There is a close cooperation between industry and science in the Stuttgart region. In partnership with local industry, the many universities, colleges and research institutes are developing the technology of the future.

For the organisers of an industry or technology trade fair, this means that both the target exhibitor groups and potential trade fair audience are either already directly on the ground or do not have to travel far. In an age when efficiency and cost determine whether or not to participate in an event, this is key to the success of any trade fair.

Locations for every type and size of trade fair

With the L-Bank Forum (Hall 1), Halls 3–9 and the new Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10), we can provide the perfect location for any trade fair. The L-Bank Forum (Hall 1) is the largest trade fair hall, covering an area of 26,800 m². Located directly at the Entrance East, it also boasts a gallery that spans the entire circumference of the hall. Halls 3–9 each have 10,500 m² of floor space.

The timber construction of the Paul Horn Halle (Hall 10, 14,600 m²) at the Entrance West certainly sets it apart from the others. All of our halls have been designed with almost no columns, they incorporate natural light and provide VIP parking spaces, as well as at least four conference rooms that are available to hire.

For smaller trade fairs and subsidiary events, the C2 multifunctional hall in the neighbouring ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart is the perfect option with its 4,933 m². The grounds have been designed in such a way that your guests never have far to walk even when several halls are in use.

Modern and versatile trade fair grounds

Messe Stuttgart and the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart represent one of the most modern trade fair and congress venues in Europe. Ten trade fair halls spanning approx. 120,000 m², 40,000 m² of open space and 33 rooms in the ICS cater to a wide variety of requirements. Our infrastructure also allows for several formats and events to be organised at the same time.

In addition to comfort, we place great emphasis on sustainability. Messe Stuttgart is a certified ClimatePartner. We calculate our greenhouse gas emissions, define and continually implement reduction targets, and finance climate protection projects. In 2023, Messe Stuttgart was presented with the German Sustainability Award. This award recognises companies that have been particularly successful in meeting ecological and social challenges with their products and services and thus making the most of sustainability as an economic opportunity.

Superb transport connections by road, rail or air

With superb connections to the transport network, Messe Stuttgart is quickly and easily accessible using any means of transport. It is the only trade fair center in Germany located directly at an international airport. A total of three minutes are needed to walk from the airport terminal to the trade fair’s Entrance East.

High-speed rail links connect Stuttgart to many national and international destinations, with the Swabian metropolis only three hours from Paris or Zurich. The adjacent A8 and A81 motorways also provide quick and easy accessibility for guests arriving by car.

There are 8,300 car parking spaces available on the trade fair grounds. The neighbouring airport car parks can also be used, increasing the total number of parking spaces to 11,000.

The well-organised provision of materials for the setup and dismantling of your trade fair is guaranteed by a sophisticated infrastructure and ample logistics space. Every hall has two loading areas, which allows for set-up or dismantling to take place simultaneously.

A digital access and exit management provides optimed logistics processes and saves valuable time for all concerned. Underground access to the halls via Schenker-Allee East and West means trucks can be loaded and unloaded at the halls even while events are in progress.

Your exhibitors can choose to avail of a number of services during their time at the trade fair. We are more than happy to organise complete exhibitor packages or provide individual services that cover everything from furniture to catering to media technology. Our online ordering system guarantees efficient communication and provides planning support.

The Guest Events & Congresses department at Messe Stuttgart provides a professional service to help you navigate the initial stages of organising a trade fair event, from the initial enquiry and tour of the premises to the offer phase and conclusion of a contract. Our experienced project managers take care of all the planning details, communicate with the Office for Public Order and provide support and assistance during the event itself. Around 65 events of all sizes are planned and organised by our Guest Events & Congresses team every year.

Designated contacts from the Technical Event Service and Stuttgart Messe Service departments are there to ensure everything goes to plan and that your individual requirements are perfectly met. There is also the option of an FKM certification, which gauges the success of your trade fair by accurately determining visitor figures and providing a comparable industry basis.
