Competitions
World Chocolate Masters
The national qualifying round of the well-known World Chocolate Masters will be held live for the first time during the trade fair. During südback, first-rate candidates from Germany and Austria will compete against one another in five intensive competition rounds from 26 to 29 October. The motto of the competition is 'Play!' and is reflected in every task during the competition.
The competition will take place in Hall 8, Stand 8C51.
Carlo-Wildt Trophy
The Carlo Wildt Cup at südback 2024 calls for creativity, craftsmanship and precision. Under the theme of ‘LandLeben’, confectioners must create works that impress in terms of flavour and appearance. The competition is being held for the 15th time and the awards ceremony will take place in the Konditoren Forum.
The competition will take place in Hall 7, Stand 7D71.
südback Trend Award 2024
The renowned südback Trend Award is a top-class award with the aim of recognizing developments in terms of technical innovations, design and concepts. The awards are presented in the categories "Marketing, Sales & Organisation", "Raw Materials & Convenience", "Technology" and for special achievements in the area of "Sustainability".
The award ceremony will take place on 26 October 2024 at 9:30 am at the opening of the trade fair.

Eis-Bühne
The Eis-Bühne offers a varied programme specially tailored to bakeries, cake shops and ice cream parlours. Every day you can expect to see exciting demonstrations and practical workshops, where proven experts in artisan gelato production will share their knowledge and experience.

Barista School
In exciting 90-minute crash courses, caterers and trainees learn how to use coffee grinders and portafilter machines perfectly. Coffee experts share their expertise on machine customisation, roasting and preparation to take your coffee quality and sales to the next level.

Bäko
BÄKO will be presenting the latest concepts for bakers and confectioners on over 2,100 square metres in the Paul Horn Hall. The focal points for 2024 include attractive recipes, trendy bakery snacks, a wide range of raw materials, high-performance capital goods, the Meisterland brand, MEISTER KAFFEE and innovative packaging concepts.

Confectioners' Trend Forum
The Confectioners` Trend Forum organised by the Baden-Württemberg Guild Association will inspire visitors to südback with new techniques and creative ideas from professional confectioners. Innovative snack concepts, modern product presentations and the latest trends in coffee specialities and chocolate creations will be presented here.

Bakers' Trend Forum
The Bakers' Trend Forum at südback offers an exciting programme for the baking industry on all days of the trade fair. It includes entertaining demonstrations and creative new recipes, organised by the Württembergische Bäckerfachschule, the Akademie Deutsches Bäckerhandwerk and other experts.

Pizzashow
API (Association of Italian Pizzerias), together with Molino Iaquone, will be presenting a series of innovative cooking demonstrations in the Pizza Area of südback. API and Molino Iaquone are looking forward to demonstrating the progress and innovation in the preparation of Italian pizza!
