Gpixel Expands GL Product Family with the GL1402
The GL1402, featuring a 2k horizontal resolution image sensor with 14 µm pixel size, offers a well-balanced performance and advanced line rates to meet the evolving needs of the color sorting industry. Its features make it an excellent product choice for food inspection and optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications. With a single-line readout rate of up to 81 kHz, this sensor empowers any high-speed imaging operations at an efficient cost level.
The GL1402’s outstanding R, G, B color line rate of up to 27 kHz (3 separated lines of 2k horizontal resolution for each color) is facilitated through 4 lanes sub-LVDS with 12-bit output, making it ideal for applications that require precise color differentiation. Moreover, for fast sorting applications, the 14 µm pixel size enables an impressive dynamic range of up to 70 dB with full well capacity of 28.7 ke-, while its peak quantum efficiency (QE) of 70% at 550 nm ensures high sensitivity for a wide range of scenarios.
To meet diverse industry requirements, the GL1402 is available in both color and monochrome versions. Packaged in a compact 54-pin CLCC package with outer dimensions of 38 x 7.4 mm, this sensor offers a compact and flexible solution for integration into various imaging systems.
The GL1402 engineering samples and evaluation kits are now available for ordering, with delivery scheduled for July 2023.
