151 megapixel camera with active cooling
The achievable image quality of industrial cameras is highly dependent on the temperature conditions of the camera sensor used: as the sensor temperature increases, the signal-to-noise ratio deteriorates and the sensitivity of the sensor decreases. Furthermore, the spectral sensitivity for different wavelengths changes depending on the temperature. These effects complicate subsequent image evaluation and can lead to erroneous results that are unacceptable in high-precision color analysis of displays, for example.
SVS-Vistek assures the reliability and reproducibility of results with the new shr411CXGE-T (color) and shr411MXGE-T (monochrome) camera models through the implementation of Thermo-Electric Cooling (TEC) technology, which is based on a Peltier element. TEC ensures a constant operating temperature of the sensor, even under changing external conditions. Consequently, stable image quality at the highest level is guaranteed. The advanced housing design, equipped with integrated ventilation, facilitates a temperature differential of up to 15°C between the camera housing and the sensor. This is the basis for optimal sensor temperature conditions.
The new shr411xXGE-T cameras, available in monochrome and color, are based on the IMX411ALR and IMX411AQR sensors from Sony. These cameras offer a high resolution of 151 megapixels and integrated TEC cooling, making them suitable for a wide range of demanding applications such as those used in the electronics, semiconductor and flat panel display industries, as well as in digital archiving systems. Both models utilize the 10GigE interface, which is characterized by its high bandwidth capacity, to facilitate the efficient transmission of recorded image data. This ensures the efficient and dependable transfer of data, even under conditions of elevated production speeds.
In addition to TEC cooling and high resolution, the new shr411xXGE-T cameras from SVS-Vistek also feature exceptionally precise image calibration, extremely high homogeneity and a wide dynamic range. The cameras offer a suite of well-established functions, including Defect Pixel Correction, Lens Shading Correction, ROI, LUT, binning, and an integrated 4-channel LED flash controller or POE (Power Over Ethernet). The aforementioned features position the new shr411xXGE-T cameras as the ideal option for use in high-end image processing systems with the highest demands.
