Certification and eligibility criteria

Fair Handeln differs from all other current exhibitions in the areas of fair trade and sustainability due to its strict eligibility criteria. It is a binding condition for exhibitors in the fair trade section that they have accepted and implemented the definition by FINE, the international federation of the Fairtrade umbrella organisations (FLO, IFAT, NEWS! and EFTA). Proof of certifications and standards must also be provided (e.g. TransFair, WFTO, GOTS, FWF). Exhibitors in the fair trade section are selected in cooperation with Forum Fairer Handel.
