GridStab systems offer core features for energy storage and stabilisation with GridGate systems adding grid isolation and grid short-circuit ride-through. Both solutions are ideal for use inside hybrid power systems where the intermittency and limited dynamic performance of the IGBT inverter-based renewable energy sources creates the need for countermeasures.

Bi-directional energy storage makes these systems suitable for stabilising virtually all types of load or supply fluctuation, including stabilising frequency in island power system operation and for the import or export of power for commercial benefit.

Grid systems are also available with directly integrated engines, avoiding the requirement for the local network to utilise separate energy storage and engine generators thereby saving costs, reducing complexity and improving network characteristics.
